As I begin my final summer of in-person yoga at
The Reiter Center
-starts Mon June 24-
Here is some class info, followed by feedback
from current and former students.

—You do not need prior yoga experience but you must be able to transition from standing to seated/reclined and back to standing.

— Based on traditional guidelines for yoga this class is a Gentle to Level 1 class. If you’re looking for a “Power Yoga” class I’m not the teacher for you.

—I am your guide for the class but your body is a better guide. Trust it.

— Dress in layers as the northwoods mornings can be cool and I cannot guarantee the temperature of the room is comfortable for all.

—Bring your own mat and a blanket or a large towel and other props if you use them. I do have a few extra mats and some blocks but cannot guarantee their availability.

—Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

TESTIMONIALS

“Tricia’s classes are always holistic and engaging! Her instruction is clear and timed so that there is a balance of flow, strength building and stretch for optimum benefit.  An expert in the physiology of the body, Tricia includes counter positions throughout the class for recovery and strength. Tricia’s wonderful personality makes her classes fun, successful and enlightening.  After one of Tricia’s classes, I feel calm and renewed.  I have had many excellent yoga teachers in my 20 years as a yoga student, Tricia is at the very top tier.”— TR

“Thank you for a wonderful class today Tricia. My body was stiff and sore from staining the garage, not so anymore! Your intuition is spot on. The hands on adjustments before class were perfect to set the tone. It was a wonderful and ideal class - once again! Have a good rest of the week and weekend. Just had to share what a difference you make.” CG

“I have been a practitioner of yoga for many years and I can honestly say Tricia is the best teacher I have ever had. She has so much yoga and body mechanics knowledge that she graciously shares with all of her students. Tricia focuses on personal well being and areas each student needs to help heal their body physically and mentally. You will leave class feeling lighter in body and spirit!” —LP

Tricia is a great yoga teacher. She selects a variety of poses for balance, strength, and flexibility which makes the class interesting. Because she emphasizes modifications of poses, her sessions are accessible to many people. Also, I don’t feel embarrassed if I can’t do a pose. After one of her yoga sessions, I feel both energetic and relaxed.”— FK

“In addition to the natural beauty of the NorthWoods, we have another NorthWoods treasure, Tricia Schwaba. I discovered Tricia's yoga class three yrs ago and her classes have become an integral part of my summers UpNorth. In our group classes, I look forward to the movement, breath work, mindfulness and balance Tricia leads us through. As I entered my 70's, the value of Tricia's classes are important for my mobility and balance. Tricia offers alternative poses for those w/limitations. I do what I can and have found my range of motion has improved due to Tricia's classes.” —KG

“Tricia knows the body and is very insightful. She reminds me to follow what my body is comfortable doing while challenging me to better myself. Her classes are what I need for body and mind. Everything just flows, feels good physically and mentally. She makes everyone feel comfortable, important and loved.”— AM

Head, heart, and soul. Tricia has them all. And she demonstrates those qualities in every session, with the utmost respect, guiding you to focus on balance in your own life.  I’ve had yoga teachers, but Tricia is in a different league. She is a developmental instructor who not only models every position but includes adaptations and encouragement for individual  students. She continually monitors each student, providing feedback and encouragement so you can visualize the end goal even if you are not there yet. It’s not about her. It’s about bringing out the best in each student. She sees you and she hears you. Moreover, her years of experience in massage and bodywork inform her practice. I love the way she ends each session with a short reading and quote along with a wide range of calming and reflective music which invites each participant to meditate or go beyond a session to consider connections to the broader world. In short, each session feels satisfying and balanced. I walk away energized and more centered, ready to live and be present in my day.I have the luxury of being able to choose among multiple options for yoga classes. No matter. Tricia is the only choice for me. Sign up for a class and I think you’ll  agree.” —HF

“Tricia is one of the coolest people I know.”
