Ann Richards was the tough, outspoken, take-no-shit governor of Texas from 1991 - 1995. She was known for speaking her mind, speaking out for the rights of women & holding her own at a time when women weren’t welcome at any table where the good old boys gathered. She was a trail blazer and passed that spirit onto her daughter Cecile Richards who was the president of Planned Parenthood from 2006 -2018.
