Channeling the High Priestess; Be the Observer & Filter Through

moon eye.jpg

You are the observer of, and the filter through which, divinity flows. Become acutely aware of your surroundings, what is displayed, how objects are placed, whose energy is within reach. These are all factors that will have huge effects on your ability to live moment to moment. If you feel stuck move through it, literally. Sink into the pains that ache, shake loose the parts that are tight, coral the pieces that are strewn about waiting for formation. Walk, dance, stretch, release. Be who you came here to be.

*The High Priestess is an entity that uses Tricia as a conduit for divine guidance. She’s lovely.

The Beauty That Is

Insecurity is mine and mine alone.

It taunts my confidence

Tears at my peace.

A hovering grenade of dissatisfaction

Eyeing the landscape of my soul.

I know of it’s poisonous root

Yet I give it it’s demanded respect

An abuser that I want to assuage

I am not sure where to find the strength

To bury it in it’s appropriate resting place

Cover it with Mother Earth

Water it with heavens’ rain

And transform it into the beauty that is

Love of Self.

Reading from Yoga Class 12/2/19 Pema Chodron on Making Room For Growth

Praying to the EArth Luella.com.jpg

“In life we think that the point is to pass the test or overcome the problem. The real truth is that things don’t really get solved. They come together for a time, then they fall back apart. Then they come together again and fall apart again. It’s just like that.

Personal discovery and growth coming from letting there be room for all of this to happen: room for grief, for relief, for misery, for joy.

Suffering comes from wishing things were different. Misery is self inflicted, when we are expecting the “ideal” to overcome the “actual” or deeding things (or people, or places) to be different for us so we can then be happy.

Let the hard things in life break you. Let them effect you. Let them change you. Let the hard moments inform you. Let this pain be your teacher. The experiences of your life are trying to tell you something about yourself. Don’t cop out on that. Don’t run away and hide under your covers. Lean into it.

What is the lesson in this wind? What is the storm trying to tell you? What will you learn if you face it with courage? With full honesty and … lean into it.”

Naked Simplicity

Screen Shot 2019-12-01 at 9.28.48 AM.png

The stark winter has arrived, the fitful winds kicking up random snow vortexes. No embellishments to distract, no demands of interwoven colors and brilliant foliage. Only bare bones, skeletal earthlings reaching for insight, stretching high to the mysterious ivory, and doused-in-white pines, limbs heavy, demanded by the Earth. As a savior being prayed forth, that which lies deep in the core emerges in crystal-like facets, flashing aqua and violet.
To live in a world where life is constantly in bloom, no stepping back, no opportunity to go dormant, no blank canvas awaiting the brush strokes that are the inevitable thaw, would be it’s own kind of challenge. In this quiescent state, this naked simplicity, our planet most aligns with the expanse of the heavens. What is evident is essential.

It's All Potential

The snow fell last night covering all with a pristine blanket of white, fresh, without carved paths. Previously designated routes have disappeared. It’s all potential. I sit inside with my hot tea watching as the wind whips the flakes into a horizontal frenzy. It reminds me of snowfalls I have experienced in the past, one standing out for offering a moment of profound stillness and silence, the subsequent clarity, cutting right through any doubt that we are divine creatures, and another stimulating persistent, visceral signs of desperation and fear, a lack of control, a spinning, wheels no longer gripping, surrender the only certainty. This snow, this particular morning is peaceful and welcoming. It calls to me, “Dare to take that first step, Seep in your own sensual acuity and witness the stark beauty that is merely a reflection of the blank canvas in front of you.”
